Lab Manager
Michal Zuckerman Farkash is a PhD student at the Urban Vitality Lab. Her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Environmental Studies from Tel Aviv University focused on tourism's social and environmental impacts and possible mitigation measures. As part of the EU-funded H2020 SMARTDEST research project, she focused on tourism-related mobilities' impacts in Jerusalem as one of eight study cases. Her PhD research, supervised by Dr. Amit Birenboim, will deal with different walking behaviors influenced by subjective-personal characteristics among marginalized populations in the city, using advanced research methods and tools in order to improve our predictive ability regarding the subjective walkability of different neighborhoods. Besides being a PhD student, Michal is a proud mother of two young girls, and when time allows, she also practices yoga and baking.
