Alex (Li Min) Wang

Alex (Li Min) Wang is a PhD student at the Urban Vitality Lab. She completed her Bachelor of Science (BSc) at McMaster University in Canada where her focuses were field ecology and psychology. Alex went on to complete a Masters of Public Health degree at Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sante Publique (EHESP) in Paris, France, majoring in Biostatistics and Epidemiology. Her masters thesis was on the effect of Noise Exposure during Daily Commutes and Subjectively Reported Stress. She continued her work on environmental exposures at INSERM before joining the H2020 European research project SURREAL. Currently, she is working on her PhD dissertation under the joint supervision of Dr. Amit Birenboim and Dr. Basile Chaix (iPLESP/INSERM). Alex’s research is focused on the Personal Sensor Tracking of Environmental Exposures and its Effects on Sleep and Mental Health. When she’s not working, she can either be found climbing up vertical surfaces (also known as bouldering) or reading.
